Sapporo: Hokkaido Historical Village Step into the Frontier

The Historical Village of Hokkaido (Kaitaku no Mura) is an open-air museum recreating the island’s pioneering era. Created to preserve the legacy of development in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, it lets visitors step back in time and experience Japan’s frontier history. Over 50 relocated or reconstructed buildings stand on the grounds.
