Many small restaurants inside the market serve hearty seafood rice bowls, making it a must-visit spot for travelers who want to enjoy Otaru’s flavors. Please note: the cost of meals is not included and should be paid on site.

One of Otaru’s most famous viewpoints, Mt. Tengu offers sweeping panoramic views of the city, the port, and Ishikari Bay. Visitors can take a scenic ropeway ride to the summit, where observation decks provide stunning vistas both day and night. The mountaintop area also features small attractions such as a squirrel park and ski facilities in winter, making it a popular spot year-round. Please note: ropeway tickets are not included and should be purchased on site.
