It doesn’t just play a role as a match venue but also presents the history and culture of GO at the Hall of Fame and Museum. It’s known as the setting of the manga, Hikaru no GO and is a must-visit place for anyone who enjoys GO.

This temple is where the graves of Iemoto, the founder of Go, Honinbo family are located which was a professional organization active until the Edo period (1600-1868). The graves of the successive heads of the Honinbo family who took the lead in the history of Go in Japan is a special site known to those in the know among the GO players.
