Japanese Calligraphy Activity

Den-en-chofu Station is a sophisticated town full of greenery and history, selected as one of Japan's 100 best stations. Compared to the bustling downtown area, the townscape is calm, but transportation is convenient. Try calligraphy, which represents Japanese culture, at a calligraphy school located in a convenient location just a minute's walk from the station. We provide thorough instruction starting with basic exercises, so even beginners can participate with confidence. You will also have the opportunity to experience the rare practice of grinding ink. We have several examples of single Chinese characters prepared, but you may also request to write your preferred character. At the end of the session, you will complete a piece to take home as a souvenir, which we will stamp and present to you. This experience is available not only for adults but also for children.
