What To Expect
Stop 1
⏱ 30 min*Only available for cherry blossom viewing at the Hokkaido Shrine from April 25 to May 9, 2026. Hokkaido Shrine is the most important Shinto shrine in Sapporo, located within Maruyama Park and surrounded by beautiful natural forest. Built in 1869, it enshrines the guardian deities of Hokkaido’s development and is a popular spot for both worship and sightseeing. The shrine is especially famous for its cherry blossoms in late April to early May, making it one of the best places in Sapporo to enjoy spring scenery.

⏱ 1hCape Kamui is a spectacular coastal destination located on the Shakotan Peninsula in Hokkaido, famous for its dramatic cliffs and the crystal-clear “Shakotan Blue” sea. Visitors can enjoy a scenic walk of about 20 minutes along a ridge trail to reach the tip of the cape, where breathtaking panoramic views of the Sea of Japan await. As one of Hokkaido’s most iconic natural landmarks, it is especially popular for photography and sightseeing, particularly during the warmer months when the weather is more stable and the ocean colors are at their most vibrant.

Shimamui Coast is one of Hokkaido’s most scenic coastal spots on the Shakotan Peninsula, renowned for its crystal-clear “Shakotan Blue” waters and dramatic cliffside views. Visitors pass through a short tunnel to reach the viewpoint, where they can enjoy panoramic views of the Sea of Japan and the beautifully layered shades of blue, making it a popular destination for sightseeing and photography.

Pass byOtaru Canal is a historic canal in Otaru, Hokkaido, originally built in the early 20th century as an important route for port transportation. Today, the canal is lined with well-preserved stone warehouses that have been converted into restaurants, cafés, and shops, creating a charming and nostalgic atmosphere. - •Due to weather conditions, flowers in parks may bloom later than expected or wither earlier. No refunds will be issued in such cases.
- •When operated by a large taxi or minibus, the driver will provide basic sightseeing information instead of a tour guide.
- •The walking trail (boardwalk) at Cape Kamui undergoes regular maintenance every October. The exact dates vary each year and will be officially announced by the relevant authorities closer to the time.
- •If the trail is closed due to maintenance, strong winds, or other reasons, the guide will instead take you to the Cape Kamui Observatory for photo stops and provide explanations on site.
- •As access to the trail will not be available, the stay time at Cape Kamui will be shortened, and additional time will be allocated to sightseeing in the Otaru area to ensure a smooth and fulfilling itinerary. Thank you for your understanding.
- •During the cherry blossom season (April 25 – May 9), the itinerary will include a special visit to Hokkaido Shrine for cherry blossom viewing.
- •During this period, Shimamui Coast will not be included in the itinerary. Thank you for your understanding.
- •On June 4, 2026, Shiroi Koibito Park will be closed. The itinerary will be adjusted accordingly, and the time spent at other attractions will be extended.
