What To Expect
Stop 1
⏱ 3hAfter pickup, we will drive to the trailhead of Mt. Usu. We will then hike through beautiful forests until we reach the crater rim. There you can see the crater with its volcanic activity and also get a superb view of Lake Toya and Uchiura Bay. We will then have lunch and rest while enjoying the scenery. We will then continue back down the same route and back to the car.
Stop 2
⏱ 30 minWe will visit the Toyo-Usu Geopark Visitor Center next to Lake Toya to learn about Mt. Usu's past eruptions and to understand Lake Toya's nature.
Stop 3
⏱ 30 minWe will go to the best viewpoint of Lake Toya where you can see the lake and also Mt. Usu and the craters from the eruption in 2000. This is a great photo spot!
