After watching a 15-minute video, the guide will give a brief overview of Sakurajima along with the exhibits in the center.

At Nagisa Park adjacent to the Visitor Center, visitors can soak in a footbath and enjoy the hot springs blessed by the volcano and the magnificent view.

Your guide takes you to the highest spot where people can climb up by Sakurajima-island view bus. You will see the North peak and roughly shaped mountain surface right in front of you.

This observatory offers a panoramic view of Mt. Sakurajima and Kinko Bay. More than 100 years ago, this was a small island called Karasujima, 500 m offshore from Sakurajima; it was buried by lava from the 1914 Taisho eruption and is now part of Sakurajima. Look at the lava field spread out before you, Visitors can experience the horror of the explosion.
