Fushimi Inari is famous for its iconic thousand torii gates leading to Mt Inari. Fushimi Inari is an ancient shinto shrine dedicated to Inari, the shinto god of rice. There are many foxes across the shrine grounds as foxes are thought to be Inari's messengers. It takes about 2 hours to hike to the top which is about 4 kilometers long but we will just hike half of it.

We'll pass through Kimono Forest before arriving at Arashiyama Bamboo Groove. Experience the serene and relaxing sound of walking along bamboo forest. You have the option to see/enter the Tenryuji Temple (admission fee will be borne by the guest) which is just beside the bamboo grove. Afterwards, we will pass by the Togetsukyo Bridge - Arashiyama's well known, central landmark.

Kinkakuji also known as Golden Pavillion, the temple was the shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu's retirement residence, and following his death in 1408 it became a Rinzai Zen temple according to his will.

Kiyomizudera (, meaning "Pure Water Temple") is one of Japan's most famous temples. It was founded in 780 on the location of the Otowa Waterfall in the wooded hills east of Kyoto, and its name comes from the purity of the fall's waters. The temple was included to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1994.

The only Starbucks in the world is housed in a century old chaya on Ninenzaka's cobblestone streets. Starbucks Coffee Kyoto Ninenzaka Yasaka Chaya opened on June 30, 2017. It is the first Starbucks to open in a traditional Japanese residence known as a machiya. The shop is located on Ninenzaka, a popular street near the World Heritage-listed Kiyomizudera Temple.

Hokanji Temple also known as Yasaka Pagoda, is the landmark and the best photo spot in Higashiyama, Kyoto. Originally built by the Imperial Prince Shotoku in 589, the pagoda is said to have been inspired by a dream.

Hanamikoji, one of Kyoto City's most well-known streets, is located in the Gion area. With its classic wooden merchant houses and charming ochaya, or teahouses, this historic district transports visitors to a bygone era in Japan. It's also one of Kyoto's geisha districts, so on a nighttime stroll, you're likely to see one of these graceful figures.
