Begin by watching a graceful shimai dance, then learn the history, meaning, and aesthetics of Noh through explanations and close-up viewing of real masks and costumes. Practice basic postures and movements with professional performers, walk the sacred hashigakari bridgeway, and explore the usually inaccessible Kagami-no-Ma backstage room. You’ll also enjoy a Noh mask wearing experience and photo opportunity, offering a rare chance to step into the role of a performer. The tour concludes with a second dance, allowing you to appreciate the art on a deeper level.
