⏱ 2hNijo Castle represents the absolute power of the Shoguns in Kyoto. Nijo Castle (Nijo-jo in Japanese) was built for this purpose. Designed in 1603 by Tokugawa Ieyasu and completed in 1626, it served as the Kyoto residence of the Edo shoguns. We will visit this castle, Japan's political hotspot where important historical events took place. Then we will walk through the beautiful gardens.
