What To Expect
Stop 1
⏱ 2hExplore Nakayadera Temple and its "blue pagoda" and learn more about the history of one of the major temples of the region.
Stop 2
⏱ 3hTime for the hike on the abandoned railway turned hiking trail. Enjoy the scenery of the gorge as you walk about an hour and a half through the mountains! You will have a chance to eat lunch along the way. There are some long dark tunnels bur your guide will light the way!
Stop 3
⏱ 30 minArrive at Takedao Station and Onsen. Relax in either an actual onsen or use one of the footbaths in the town. Congrats on finishing the hike!
Stop 4
⏱ 1hArrive at Ikeda and walk up to the amazing view! It is a bit of a hill so this is the last spat before the end! On the way back to the station we will stop by the castle and garden.
