What To Expect
Stop 1
Pass byThe seemingly endless rows of cherry trees (more than 5000) can be viewed from a pleasant riverside promenade. There are also areas with a lot of space for picnics.
Stop 2
Pass byThe bridge to enter the castle will give you views on the Cherry Blossoms reflection dancing in the water. Over 4000 cherry trees are planted on the grounds of the park, a particularly nice place for a picnic.
Stop 3
Pass byPass by "Osaka Mint Bureau" where can enjoy more than 100 varieties of sakura trees. The gates of the garden are opened to the public for one week in mid-April.
Stop 4
Pass byThe first full-fledged Buddhist temple in Japan to enshrine the Four Heavenly Kings. The garden (entrance fees required) is filled with about 50 cherry trees in full bloom between the end of March-beginning of April.
Stop 5
Pass byThe former site of the 1970 Expo exhibition is now a huge park famous for its beautiful cherry blossoms from late March to early April. Over 5000 cherry trees line up along its paths and around its large lawn areas. Not to miss the light up in the evenings.
Stop 6
Pass byYou can end your experience strolling along the banks of the O River as you leave Osaka Castle Park.
