📍Meeting point: Come to our main rickshaw stand located on the sidewalk along the river, a few meters West from the North-West end of the Togetsukyo Bridge. Let us know in advance if you need directions.
What To Expect
Stop 1
⏱ 30 minGet off the rickshaw and walk to the most famous part of the bamboo forest which can not be accessed by rickshaw. The walk includes going up and down a steep slope.
Stop 2
Pass byShinto shrine nestled in the bamboo forest.
Stop 3
⏱ 10 minPass through the bamboo grove for great pictures
Stop 4
Pass byYour rickshaw tour operator for the rickshaw tour in Arashiyama. Tour can be customized and choice of attractions possible depend on tour duration selected.
Stop 5
Pass byCottage of a famous Haiku Poet. This cottage is built in the traditional pastoral style, with a straw thatched roof.

- •Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
- •Public transportation options are available nearby

- •Not recommended for pregnant travelers in the first 16 weeks
- •Children of 6 years and older are required to have a seat and will thus pay the same price as an adult.
- •Our seats measure 74cm (29. 1in) in width and can accommodate up to two adults side by side.
- •Children 5 years and under can ride for free provided that they will sit on the lap of an adult (one child per adult = max 2 adults & 2 children per rickshaw)
- •If a child 5 years will be using one of the two seats of the rickshaw, it must book as an adult.
- •Infants must be able to hold up their head by themselves.
- •The amount of time you will be late will be deducted from your tour duration (delay of 10min or more results in automatic cancellation)

- •Time changes on the day of the tour can not be accommodated.
- •Any time changes/rescheduling requests sent after 5pm the day before your tour can not be accommodated
- •finishing locations other than our rickshaw stand may be subject to an additional drop-off fee (payable on the day of the tour)
