Stop 1
⏱ 1hThe Genbaku Dome is a poignant testimony to the atomic bomb that hit Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. This building is still partially standing. We pass by and can reflect there.
Stop 2
⏱ 1hWe walk in the Peace Memorial Park between the Genbaku Dome and the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum.
Stop 3
⏱ 2hWe visit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, an important and moving testimony to the Second World War and the atomic bomb that fell on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945.
Stop 4
⏱ 1hWe take the ferry to Itsukushima island. We can admire all the surroundings on the Seto Inland Sea.
Stop 5
⏱ 1hThe Miyajima Omotesando Shopping Street welcomes us and we can have lunch there.
Stop 6
⏱ 1hMiyajima Island and Itsukushima Shrine are famous throughout the world especially for their gate, the large torii positioned on the sea. We visit this shrine and learn more about the history and religion of Japan.
Stop 7
⏱ 1hWe walk to the torii of the shrine if it is low tide. We can admire from the shore if it is high tide.
Stop 8
⏱ 1hWe walk in Omoto Park. This is the best opportunity for us to meet shika deer and interact with them.
