Owakudani is an area formed by Mount Hakone's eruption 3000 years ago, featuring active volcanoes, hot springs, and rivers. In Owakudani, shops sell eggs cooked in hot spring pools, their shells turned black by sulfur. Eating one of these eggs is believed to add seven years to your life.
