Cherry Blossom Highlights, Hamarikyu, Asakusa and Meiji Shrine

Morning stroll in Sensoji temple, viewing beautiful cherry blossom. Sensoji temple is one of the oldest temple in Tokyo. At Nakamise street stretching from the Thunder gate you can buy Japanese traditional souvenir and Ningyoyaki, sweets popular among the tourists.

Located alongside Tokyo Bay, Hama Rikyu features beautiful cherry blossoms and yellow rapes in spring, seawater ponds which change level with the tides. The traditional garden stands in a contrast to the high rises of the Shiodome district.

Dedicated to Emperor Meiji and his consort Empress Shoken, Meiji shrine was built in 1920 after their death. Surrounded by the oak and camphor trees the shrine is like an oasis in hustle bustle Tokyo.
