A popular local tradition is to view the scenery upside down by bending forward and looking through your legs, creating a unique and playful perspective of this famous landscape. During your visit, you may take the ropeway or monorail up to Amanohashidate View Land (ticket not included, approx. JPY 1000) for a panoramic observation of the sandbar and surrounding bay, where the landscape resembles a dragon ascending into the sky.
