We visit one of Japan's most revered Yakushi (Medicine Buddha) Temple which has been worshipped by people for centuries. At the entrance, you will pass through the imposing Nio Gate, watched over by two powerful guardian statues known as Nio. As you walk along the forest approach, the atmosphere changes - the sounds soften, the air feels cooler, and each step brings a quiet sense of anticipation. Inside temple and treasury hall, numerous variable Buddhist sculptures remain on site, including wooden statue of Yakushi and his attendants. Feel the shift. Embrace the calm. At Oyama-dera temple, you can try "the Luck-Throwing Challenge" - throwing the clay plates toward the giant ring below to transform your fortune. Oyama-dera station is one of the most charming spots. Because the station platform sits on a steep slope, the benches are arranged like steps - each seat at a different level.
