Ryugeji Temple Ocha Kaikan YumeTerrace MInowa Inari Shrine /V-G

This temple was established in the early Edo period. The temple is well known to many people for its magnificent view of Kantomi, which is said to be one of the most famous temples in the Tokai region. It is not only the view that can be enjoyed. Take a break and enjoy Japanese tea and matcha chocolate in the room where tea utensils actually used by the Oman family are on display. In the main hall, you can see beautiful ceiling and sliding door paintings. If you want to challenge yourself, there is also a tasteful Japanese-style toilet. (You will need to pay 1,400 yen in cash for the temple entrance fee and the Japanese tea ceremony experience.

The exhibition area on the first floor introduces the history and culture of Nihondaira and the surrounding tourist attractions through graphic panels, projection mapping, and touch panels. Visitors can enjoy seasonal tea and tea sweets in the lounge on the second floor. The unique octagonal building was designed by Kengo Kuma Architects & Urban Design Office and is made of wood from Shizuoka Prefecture in abundance. Admission is free, and you can also enjoy the night view!
