Private Day Tour to Taketa and Harajiri Falls

A breathtaking historical site known for its sheer stone walls built onto a steep plateau. It is a symbol of the Taketa area and offers some of the most spectacular views in Kyushu, especially during the cherry blossom or autumn leaf seasons.

Selected as one of the “Top 100 Waterfalls in Japan,” Harajiri Falls is a magnificent horseshoe-shaped waterfall located in the middle of a flat plain. You can walk right down to the water’s edge or view its full 120-meter width from a wooden suspension bridge.

This site features an incredible collection of Buddhist figures carved into a tuff cliff. The central figure, Fudo-Myoo, is a masterpiece of religious art, standing majestically against a backdrop of seasonal flowers and rugged rock.
