Walk through the beautifully preserved streets lined with white-walled storehouses and willow trees along the Kurashiki River. Learn about the town’s merchant history from your knowledgeable guide.

Igusaya Kaen (Rush Grass Workshop) At this traditional workshop, discover the beauty of igusa weaving — a craft that originated in Kurashiki. Using a small handloom, you’ll create your own colorful coaster from locally grown rush grass. *The Standard Plan, which includes only the coaster weaving experience, concludes here. The total tour time is about 1.5 hour.

Igusaya Kaen –Kibi Dango & Drink Experience (Café Plan, Optional) After your craft session, relax with a tasting of “Kibi Dango,” a local sweet made from millet, and try the new local specialty, “Drinkable Kibi Dango.” Both are made by the long-established Furuiya Honpo confectionery. *The Café Plan includes a total tour time of approximately 2 hours.

Igusaya Kaen – Kibi Soba Lunch (Light Meal Plan, Optional) Savor “Kibi Soba,” noodles made from Takakibi millet — a healthy and flavorful local specialty combining tradition and innovation. *The Light Meal Plan includes a total tour time of approximately 2 hours.
