What To Expect

Stop 1

Cycle through the park of Nara and witness the harmony between the city and the deer. Avoid most traffic following your local guide to get the best cycling experience possible.

Admire the Great Southern Gate, the symbol of the Todaiji Temple domain. Admire the two fierce guardians of the gate and enjoy the beauty of its unique architecture.

Explore the Todaiji Temple, and learn about its history. Visit the temple where is located the biggest bronze Buddha statue in the country, the "Daibitsuden", and get a chance to go through the Buddha's nostril.

Visit the original shop of the prestigious knife maker company Kikuichi. Receive an introduction to Japanese cutlery, as well as advice on Japanese knives, if needed. Former Katana maker, there is no better place to get Japanese knives, directly from the manufacturer.

Stop 5

Visit the ancient Shrine "Kasuga Taisha" and learn about its spirit, the spirit of Kasuga, which can be described as the spirit of Nature, but also a general introduction to Shinto. Admire the beautiful Lantern path, and get the opportunity to make a wish at the Shinto shrine and connect with the spirit.

Stop 6

After moving from Nara to Osaka, you will discover the area of the "New World", called "Shinsekai" in Japanese. Go back to the origin of the Kushikatsu, a special fried treat that was created in Osaka in the late 1920s, and Learn about the city's history up to World War 2. A Kushikatsu set and a drink are included in the tour for each guest.

Learn about the post-World War 2 connections and history in Osaka, with the largest Korean community in Japan, located in the district of Tsuruhashi. Explore the local food market, and have some Japanese/Korean fusion Barbecue called "Yakiniku". A Yakiniku set and a soft drink are included for each guest.

Stop 8

Mainly known as the district by Osaka Castle, Kyobashi is one of the oldest districts and train stations in the city, built in 1895. As it is an old area, let's stop for a very traditional Japanese food type: SUSHI. A sushi set and a drink (Beer, Sake, or Soft drink) are included for each guest.

Tenma is known as the old district of foodies. Its name comes from the "Tenjin" or "Tenmangu", the spirit of Knowledge and studies. Guests will walk through the famous "Tenjinbashi-Suji Shopping Street", the longest shopping street in Japan, for some local discoveries, in a less touristic and more authentic atmosphere.

Finish the day with a hidden museum inside the city, which is interesting and worth visiting. Go back in time to Osaka in the 1800s, and explore a reproduction of the district of "Naniwa" before the opening of the country, in a fully controlled environment, including day/night time.

  • Important Note: We only serve alcoholic drinks for travelers 20 years old and above. Minor travelers below 20 years old will be served non-alcoholic drinks.
  • We have a timing to respect with all partners in Nara and Osaka, especially the restaurants in the afternoon. As a result, we ask everyone to arrive 15 minutes before departure (7:45), so the tour can start on time (8:00). If you are late, you will be considered as "No Show" and no refund is possible. Thank you for your understanding.
  • While single travelers can book this tour directly, there is a "2 guests minimum" rule to give the tour a GO. in case of a single guest, the session might be cancelled and the guest will be notify as soon as possible, offering a rescheduling, or a full-refund.
