Nebuta Matsuri 2026

The Aomori Nebuta Matsuri is one of Japan's most spectacular summer festivals. Giant lantern floats depicting kabuki warriors, historical figures, and mythical creatures are pulled through the streets while haneto dancers in traditional costume dance alongside.

The festival takes place from August 2-7, with the highlight being the fireworks and float parade on the final night. The energy is electric, with taiko drummers, flute players, and thousands of dancers creating an unforgettable atmosphere.
