Kochia (Burning Bush) Festival at Hitachi Seaside Park 2026

Hitachi Seaside Park in Ibaraki Prefecture is famous for its seasonal flowers, but the kochia (burning bush) display in autumn is truly spectacular. From early October, thousands of kochia bushes covering the park's Miharashi Hill transform from green to brilliant crimson red, creating a breathtaking landscape.

The park also features cosmos flowers in bloom at the same time, creating a stunning contrast of red and pink. The best viewing is typically from mid-October. The park is easily accessible from Tokyo by train.
